Classic brilliant movie.
It must be among the movies that I have watched the most times. My grandparents had it on a Betamax tape back in the late 1980s, and the choice was between Indiana Jones and Star Wars, so I usually watched both. Therefore, my rating of this move will no doubt be biased.
The story is classic and simple - out hero sets out to retrieve an item sought after by the enemy, is forced to bring his attractive ex-girlfriend along and despite facing various challenges on the way is successful in the end. The plot has a number of nice twists that mostly provides further challenges for our hero pair. Even though the outcome is obvious, I still feel that the movie is enjoyable after all these years.

Harrison Ford is just as perfect as Indiana Jones as he is as Han Solo, which is saying a lot. I cannot imagine anyone else in that iconic role.
Ronald Lacey is also very good as the SS officer aptly named Toht. He is both scary and disgusting at the same time.
John Rhys-Davies is somehow the epitome of the Egyptian merchant, at least in my very limited perception, and works perfect as Sallah.

The effects are impressive for a movie of the early 1980s. Obviously they no way near match modern day’s CGI effects, but I still think it is very convincing. The melting/combusting nazis would have been far better with modern technology, but back then they gave me nightmares and I still recall the terror when seeing it again.

This is a cornerstone in action-adventure movies. I you have not seen it yet, you absolutely must do so! If it has been a while since you saw it last, I believe that you would enjoy watching it one more time.
I bought the movie on a disc a couple of years ago, but recently saw it on a streaming provider, so you should have easy access to it.
