Brain dead action with a very simple plot, that we have seen countless of times before. I knew and actually expected this, when I started watching the movie, and I was not let down. If you have been watching action movie (e.g. with Dolph Lundgren) throughout the 90’s and 00’s, like I have, you just know how and when everything is going to happen in this kind of movie. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as there is a great amount of comfort in knowing everything and not being uncomfortably surprised.

Dolph Lundgren is not young anymore, but he still does a good job being an action star. He is still pretty big, but he has lost a lot of speed. This was written into the stunts so it did not bother me at all. Tony Jaa is a quite small guy, but he is quick and quite athletic. En general the fight scenes were rather good.

The asian girls bought and sold in this movie are all quite pretty, but knowing the sad and horrible story behind their current situation just makes you want to cover them up with a blanket and find them a safe place to hide.

The ending was quite poorly done. I will not spoil anything here, but it seems to me like they either thought they were brilliant people trying to avoid the classic Hollywood cliché ending, or else it was just a huge setup for a second movie in the series. Either way they failed in my opinion.
