Sweet story with a lot of frosty fun. I had heard a lot about this movie from my friends and acquaintances, or rather their children, but it was still with a bit of scepsis that I inserted the Blu-Ray disc for the first time. Since then I think I have seen it 20 times! It is not that I am a big sucker for Disney princess movies, but my daughter is, and I must admit that this is one of the better ones I have seen in this genre. Because along with the sweet story, you get quite a few good laughs and an almost musical like soundtrack (which is great for dancing, if you are 2,5 years old). Obviously you still get the classic Disney “Death of parents” package, but here it is more like ripping a band aid - quick and merciful. Also the “bad stuff” in this movie is not that scary, which all makes it safe for even small children to watch. There is a slightly scary ice/now giant, but he is accompanied with suspense and comedy from the other characters, so it is not that bad. My favorite character is princess Anna. I love the scene where she is singing through a keyhole and even more her reaction/Freudian slip at her first meeting with Prince Hans. This movie is recommendable to watch together with children. I guess the main target for the movie is girls, who can watch it over and over again, but it has enough action for boys to watch as well. After the movie you can select “The Making of Frozen” in the menu. It is good fun, but really makes no sense. Good for dancing though. |
