This movie is scary and uncomfortable if you have kids of your own. If you are a bit sensitive about creepy people abducting and mistreating young women, you should NOT watch this. It is not particularly graphic about the subject, but it does let your imagination run free. I almost turned it off at several points. The only thing that kept me watching was that I wanted to see the sick bastard caught.
The story is rather simple, but the plot is well written. You keep guessing on how and who the bad guy really is until there is a big reveal somewhere in the third quarter of the movie.

Henry Cavill does a pretty decent job portraying the struggling detective.
Ben Kingsley has always been a favorite of mine, and I like his character in this movie.
Stanley Tucci is also brilliant.
Alexandra Daddario's character annoyed me a bit. I couldn't tell if it was her acting or due to poor writing.
Eliana Jones was perfect as the teenager with the dirty mouth.

I didn't like the movie, and this is definitely not my genre, but I'll have to admit that it is actually pretty well done. I have also been thinking about some of the mysteries in the plot since I saw it, to figure out how the things were possible to execute. So I guess that if this is your kind of genre and your nerves are not rattled but the thought of young women being treated bad, then this might be a good movie for you.
