This is probably one of the saddest movies I have ever seen, but it's absolutely brilliant.

Three kids grow up on a boarding school in the 1950's England. They're educated in a strict school system that will form their lives. Can't really say more about the plot without spoiling the movie (also please do NOT watch the trailer before watching the movie, it holds so many spoilers that it's unbelievable).

The movie is extremely slow paced and focuses primarily on the three main characters and their relationships. We follow their lives from they're kids to grown up and it's a slow but remarkable journey.

The cinematography, music and performances are an absolute joy to witness. If you like slow paced emotional journeys check this one out. It's outstanding, but sad.

Highly recommended.
