I must say that I enjoyed the first movie in this trilogy a lot more than the second and third. After that's said this is still a really good film.

Plot-wise it ties everything together quite nicely, but character development wise I think the 2nd and especially this 3rd one failed.

The first movie introduces several aspects of the two main protagonists that we don't really get to explore other than on a very superficial level.

I really didn't believe/understand how the relationship between the two main protagonists changed so much between the 2nd and the 3rd movie. It felt like something had happened between the two movies or something. I'm not a big fan of the relationship between Lisbeth and Michael in this movie, as it doesn't make much sense why they're suddenly so distanced. (Edit: Just did a little research and I think what I would have preferred was something more in line with the books...)

Oh and Ronald Niedermann, what a pointless character. They should have left him out and it would have been a better movie (that goes for the second one as well).

But I highly recommend the trilogy, it's really solid ;)

Once again I go to the window and yell: "SWEDISH MOVIES ROXXX". Since this is the third movie in the series it kind of obvious that you have to watch one and two first. This is a great closing movie, but I think every body should do what I did; watching this right after watching it's predecessor. Since they are connected so tight, it will probably hurt the over all experience if the story isn't fresh in mind.

I wasn't sure what to expect of the plot of the movie, but it really delivered a good story, that had it's base in the other movie and yet it still had a pretty complex twist that any sucker for conspiracy theories will love.

And also the movie makes you fall in love with Lisbeth Sallander. Beware.

(just saw that I gave "Flickan som lekte med elden" 7 of 10, I think that might be because I did not see this one right after... :)
