As a huge fan of Batman, my expectations for "The Batman" were sky-high. Unfortunately, I was left in my home movie theater feeling less than impressed. I found myself quickly growing tired of Robert Pattinson's portrayal of Batman, which came across as overly emo and mopey for my taste. The biggest issue for me was the pacing of the film. Clocking in at almost three hours, "The Batman" felt like it dragged on unnecessarily. Several times during the movie, I found myself reaching for my phone, a sure sign that my interest was waning. It seemed like the story could have been told much more efficiently in half the time. In the end, "The Batman" didn't quite live up to my expectations. While Batman is known for his brooding and complex character, this interpretation felt off-putting. The lengthy runtime made the pacing feel sluggish, and I couldn't help but wish for a more concise and engaging storytelling approach. It's disappointing when a favorite character doesn't shine as expected on the big screen, but perhaps future iterations will offer a different take that resonates more with me. |
