The story is interesting enough, but it never really takes off and the ending really killed it for me. Read why beyond the spoiler warning at the bottom.

John Travolta was a good choice for the role. His makeup, however, really looked weird. At certain points he reminded me of Till Lindemann in some of the most strange music videos where he is making a weird face.
Katheryn Winnick is beautiful, but I would prefer to watch her in a more action related role. Mostly because I have knowledge that she is able to kick some serious butt, and maybe also because she is one of my favorite characters in the TV series Vikings.

The boat races are fun but not very well made. The worst is the high waves and boat crashes at a certain important race.

This movie was a let down to me. I did not expect much, but it was still below that. Watch if you like Travolta or big offshore speed boats, otherwise find something else.

*SPOILER ALERT*

The movie actually starts out with the ending, and then you watch it from the beginning all the way up to the end again. I ended up wishing that it would have a different ending, but that never happened, and that really took out a lot of build up mystery. For me that was a let down. I might as well have shut the movie off after the first 5 mins.
