Thrilling sci-fi that turned out to be better that what I expected.
It is a classic sci-fi  war-story plot where a tech guy is sent into the warzone to investigate something abnormal and then ends up being enrolled in the entire mess. There is nothing new about this and despite having been used several times it can still be pretty excited, if you ignore some of the obvious parts and developments. The twist here is that you as a viewer (and maybe in particular me being schooled as an engineer) keep trying to find a logical explanation for what is causing these abnormal event. It really like it when a movie achieves to do this.
I am not too familiar with the actors in this movie, but they all deliver a fairly good performance. Being in an action driven sci-fi movie with very little dialogue and almost none inter-character drama, you are not left with a lot of possibilities to flaunt your acting skills.
These abnormal hyper spectacles are nicely done and all stunts and effects are pretty good was well.
This movie was produced by a streaming service provider and is really well done. The graphics, the details, the casting. Everything. You get a sense that by providing the movies to the masses they also get a good idea of what the masses appreciates. Although this is no spectacular perl in the history of movies, it is still very well executed and highly recommendable of if you sci-fi war movies.
