Classic Disney fairytale.

Despite being an old movie now I still think it is worth seeing, both for kids and grownups. I remember seeing it when it originally came out back in 1992. I have watched it several times with various people, and recently I dusted off the old DVD (the VHS edition has been put in storage) and watched it with my two year old daughter. She is obviously too young to understand the many great puns and references to other movies, but still had a good time watching it.

Even though this is a Disney movie, the “bad stuff” is not that bad here. There is no death of loved ones or similar irrefutable damage, but the dystopian world with Jaffar as sultan is still a bit scary.

My favorite part of the movie is the introduction at the very beginning. The street pedler selling all kinds of junk is hilarious!
