Decent vampire action movie but would have been a lot better if they had left out all the comedy. The slapstick idiocy just becomes a distraction from what the movie is really about. My appreciation of Jamie Foxx is growing as either he or I gets older. He is a pretty good action hero in this one. The fact that they have added names like Scott Adkins, Peter Stormare and even Snoop Dogg to the cast just adds to the excitement. Dave Franco's character is mostly annoying which spoils his performance. The vampire special effects are acceptable and the action, stunts and effects in general are pretty average. If you like light action entertainment with a twist out vampire, this movie is recommendable to you. As a regular action movie this is only just about average. |
