Exciting build-up with an appalling conclusion.
The cast looked good, the summary sounded promising and all the way through most of the movie the build-up was actually quite thrilling. Then the mystery was revealed and I was left with nothing but a feeling of having wasted my time. That was a huge disappointment.
Channing Tatum does a fair job playing the troubled kid that grew up and became a cop (no one knows how - but why is a bit more obvious). While he tries to act like he is being haunted by his past, he sometimes slips and seem more retarded than troubled. It was fun to see a movie where Al Pacino did not shout.
The flashbacks and the repeated dialogue is kind of annoying at first, but as you get used to it, you start to get the feeling of how it must be inside Milk’s head. I think it turns out alright.
Do not waste your time on this movie. The ending is lame and destroys everything.
