I saw this once before, but I guess not to the very end, since I was very surprised by the brutal ending! I would recommend every body who gets tired fo all the "traditional" Hollywood movies, to watch this one. It's all but normal. Nicolas Cage is great, might be his best movie ever! And the use of him as twins works brilliantly... The story is one of a kind, or should I say three of a kind, since it's a story in it self, but about a story that some one tries to write based on a third story =) Very good alternative movie... |

Very interesting movie! I really makes you think about your life and goals and if you really are doing things the way you should. There is two things I especially like about this one. The first is the way Charles constantly writes himself into the movie as both a solution and a course for hes problems. It is sort of self-reflective, in a way. The other thing is, that you in the end start doubting if his twin brother Douglas actually is real, of if he is just a figment of Charles vivid imagination/delusion. It was great to see Nickolas Cage in a role like this one. It shows that he actually can acts. Great job! You have to be in a certain mood, to see this movie. Spaced out and pondering on your own existence is a good start. |
