A solid science fiction movie, full of exitement and entertainment - close to being on level with Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy!
The movie is set in a not too far away future (2092), when Earth has become close uninhabitable. We follow a rag-tag band of space-garbagemen, all down on luck and with a dark past - a commander fallen from grace, a deserter, a pusher-king and a robot dreaming of getting fleshed ... The group stumble upon a business opportunity, an oprhan, wanted by half the universe ... however, everything gets turned around and their lifes gets a new purpose ...
I am no fan of asian movies, but this one quickly went from live-action Manga, to proper sci-fi. The heroes are a bit arch-typical, but everything else is top notch - the world around them could be a realistic take on elements in our future, how nations and organisations work together. I liked the Danish speaking customs officer, and the different nations on the other sweeper-crews.
It is not a movie with fine acting or deep conversation, but the scenery is well made and I have to admit, that I was greatly entertained .. and actually wanted much more!
