Not my typical sort of movie, but nothing else was on the TV, and after a while it kind of grew on me - might be due to the fact that Claire Danes is quite pretty.
In a time where acting is only allowed by men, a talented young girl dresses up and steps onto the stage baffling the audience.
The plot is a classic English drama, and as always the ending is weak and a bit confusing. The actors does an acceptable job playing actors and actresses, but some of the extras are still quite lame, probably due to a failed attempt to inject humour into the story.

In general I liked it but it is not anything I would ever put on by myself. If you like Shakespeare, England in the 17th century or Claire Danes, you might enjoy some of it.
