The Equalizer 2

This is not as good a movie as the first one, but it is pretty close. It is quite a bit more action oriented and with less focus on the story. That is a shame, but fortunately it is executed rather well, so it does not destroy the movie. 

There is a plot twist that becomes evident early on but is not disclosed until later, and it completely changes the pace and style from the slow paced Equalizer style, that we know from the first movie and also first half of this one, to a more classic hard hitting action movie. It could have ruined the entire movie, but I think it was handled pretty well instead.

Denzel Washington is an amazing actor and perfect for this role.

Melissa Leo is great as the cool retired, yet still working, CIA agent. 

Ashton Sanders seems like an annoying kid, which I think was intentional for the movie, and therefore very convincing. 

Pedro Pascal is mediocre in his performance. 

I am not sure that I understand the purpose behind the story featuring Orson Bean. 

The rest of the cast is unremarkable, in my onion. 

As the other Equalizer movie, the stunts and effects in this movie is ranging from decent to good. A few of them are above the top though. 

If you enjoyed the first one, or if you like a good action thriller, then this one is highly recommendable.
