A fascinating and interesting concept for a story. Holly gradually fades away until she becomes invisible, living a life where no one notices her presence. I honestly think I could have watched an entire movie focused solely on how she would manage her everyday life under those circumstances. The love story and the added plot involving the MMA fights turned out to be great additions as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed the way everything came together. Olivia Thirlby does a good job in a quiet and understated leading role. She is a perfect fit for the character. I did not expect much from Alan Ritchson, partly because he is such a big and imposing guy and partly because of his performance in Jack Reacher, but he actually did a pretty good job here and surprised me. If you enjoy a contemporary romance with a slight touch of fantasy and just a dab of action, this might be a real hit for you. I certainly found it much more entertaining than I had expected and would rate it eight out of ten. |
