"Bruised" is a powerful and emotional sports drama that marks the directorial debut of Halle Berry, who also stars in the lead role. The film follows the journey of Jackie Justice (played by Berry), a former mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who fell from grace and is now struggling to make a comeback in the sport while also reconnecting with her estranged son.
The fight scenes are intense and well choreographed, showcasing Berry's dedication to the physical demands of the role. But what really sets "Bruised" apart is its focus on the personal struggles of the characters, particularly Jackie's journey to heal from past traumas and rebuild her relationships.
