Great early nineties action movie that still holds up really well. The story is simple but good enough to keep you interested all the way through. The plot has a few twists and turns where major showstoppers are turned into minor hiccups, which makes it both fun and engaging.

The cast is seriously impressive, packed with a lot of great talent. The main roles are played brilliantly by Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette, but the supporting cast is just as memorable. Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Samuel L Jackson, Val Kilmer, Dennis Hopper, and Brad Pitt all show up and do a great job in their respective roles.

The settings and effects are generally kept low key, except for two extremely bloody and violent scenes. Those two moments feel like they use up the entire budget for the rest of the movie, but they are very effective.

If you are into a solid nineties action movie involving drugs, murder, gangsters, Hollywood, and a couple trying to catch their luck, this one is a perfect fit. For me it easily lands at an eight out of ten.
