The Union is classic action but definitely not top-tier. The story is thin, and the plot is so predictable that it feels like a missed opportunity. There was potential for more, but instead, the movie leans heavily on cheap action clichés we've seen countless times before. I’m honestly surprised they managed to get high-profile actors like Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry for what feels like a low-grade action B-movie. Their performances are fine, but I suspect the weak writing didn’t give them much to work with. There’s some decent action here and there, enough to keep you engaged if you’re really into that kind of thing. But unless you’re a big fan of Wahlberg, Berry, or J.K. Simmons, there’s not much reason to watch this one. |
