I thought this was just another stupid action movie, but it turned out to be a quite interesting and very gripping. After maybe only 15 mins. I was completely hooked and could not peal my eyes off the screen.

The story is obvious, and classic American, but how they get there is an interesting puzzle. It is a very decent written action movie.

Jamie Foxx is in his right element here. He is good at playing the annoying smart ass, but he is better at playing the focused and driven specialist doing his job. I enjoyed his performance.
I am a big fan of Chris Cooper. I just love the way he talks, moves and interacts with the other actors on screen. He is good. Jennifer Garner does not show a lot of acting here. The question is, when does she ever? I wish that we had seen some more emotion (or cold lack of the same?) from her.
Jason Bateman is playing a slightly annoying character, and I belive that suits him well.

The movie switches between drama and action. Both of which are well executed. I think it works pretty well.

If you love American anti-terrorism movies set in the Middle East, then this is a perfect choice. Generally it is decent drama and mystery with a touch of action. If you are into any of that, this movie might be a good choice for you.
