I was not expecting much when I put this movie on, but it turned out to be surprisingly good if you take the genre into consideration.
The story is out classic with no surprises. You know how and when everything is going to happen. I think that what surprised me about the movie was that neither the writing nor the acting actually sucked. Sure there were a few stupid points where the villain got off easy, and a few of the extras acted like an awkward potato, but no way best what you would normally expect.

Gabriel Macht is believeable as a charming tactical specialist and Robert Patrick even more so as an obsessed psycho. He is a perfect bad guy and manages to portray his character in a way where you have absolutely zero sympathy for him.

Bombs and firefights are all fairly standard. Nothing out of the ordinary, but not over the top either.

If you want to just kill time watching decent action, this is not a bad choice
