My experience with "Hitman: Agent 47" from 2015 was a mixed bag. While the film delivered decent action sequences, it fell short in terms of story and plot complexity. Despite enjoying the style and character of the movie, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was a lack of substance throughout.

Zachary Quinto's portrayal in the role was a standout aspect of the film. His performance as the antagonist evoked memories of his memorable portrayal in the series "Heroes," and he delivered once again in this movie, reaffirming my admiration for his acting prowess.

The action scenes were plentiful and well-executed, contributing to the film's fast-paced momentum. However, some moments, like the car chase in the parking lot, pushed the boundaries of believability to such an extent that it bordered on the absurd, eliciting more laughter than awe.

As the credits rolled, I couldn't help but notice the ending's clear setup for a potential sequel. However, despite writing this review in 2024, there have been no signs of a follow-up movie in the franchise, leaving the narrative thread unresolved and dangling.

In summary, "Hitman: Agent 47" offered moments of excitement and entertainment, but ultimately fell short due to its simplistic plot and lack of depth. While Quinto's performance shone brightly, the film's reliance on action over substance left me wanting more from the overall experience.
