A well done movie with a decent story and a bit of heart. I've always enjoyed hitman movies, but they often lack the actual hits. This is kind of the same, where you only get a taste of the skills of the lead character but certain events, usually caused by a woman or a child, cause the hitman to change his ways. The same happens here, but at least he keeps up using some of his skills to get kills.

Liam Neeson has been a great actor for countless years and I always enjoy watching his movies. Like everyone else he is getting older, and in this role his character is particularly challenged by it. It is never sad that people are getting older, but it is a reminder that someday they might stop making great movies.
Guy Pearce does a decent job playing the failing detective, or is he miserable at playing the successful detective? It is kind of hard to tell.

I am a fan of Ray Stevenson. His role is small, but I still think he is cool.

Monica Bellucci plays a role that I feel like I have seen her in numerous times before.

It is a simple action drama that contains what is expected, twists the plot when you expect it to and ends just like you expect it. I like it because it, beside being an acceptable action movie, also contains a bit of heat and a lot of justice.
