Saw it on a tiny screen on the plane, but did'nt matter, this movie is all about emotion, family issues and setting things in perspective... Before I put it on I actually thought this would be yet another horible comedy with de Niro in it. But not, it was not. The story was solid and moving, de Niro did a very good job. Strange to see huim playing such an old character. The only thing I seemed to be missing from this movie was some edge. Difficult to explain, but it was as if the production value took some of the realisme out of the else way perfect reralistic story. Not sure how that could have been changed or done better, but maybe if they had casted some fairly unknow actors and actreses instaed, or maybe just edited more gritty and not so perfect(and a bit dreamy, makes sense?) Well any way as you can see I liked it. But wasn't epic, awesome, legendary or bibecle =) |
