Decent bank robbery and hostage action that works as a follow up to the original Inside Man from 2009. It is not nearly as good as the first one, but it still delivers proper entertainment. The story clearly tries to stay simple while juggling a complex plot. Unfortunately, the writing does not quite live up to its ambitions and ends up falling short.

Aml Ameen was new to me, but he does a surprisingly good job. He is fun without being silly and still comes across as a serious character, which works well.

The effects are decent overall, but the flooding scenes are just stupid and so unrealistic that they pulled me out of the movie.

If you enjoy bank robbery or hostage movies, this could be something for you. Otherwise, I would say it is action that lands slightly above average. My rating lands on a is six out of ten.
