Captivating, sensual, and intense, but all at a very slow pace. The story revolves around interesting double crossings where you constantly doubt the real intentions of the characters, and trust is a major theme throughout. Antonio Banderas is a good actor, and the same goes for Angelina Jolie. They both play their parts well and carry the movie convincingly. The scenery is beautiful, with fascinating houses and locations set up in a way that almost lets you smell the atmosphere. This is a decent romantic thriller crime movie. It is not especially deep, but it works as solid entertainment. For me it lands at a seven out of ten. |
