Good entertainment with solid laughs and plenty of style. This is an action comedy with high production value and a great cast. The story is a bit quirky, yet still straightforward, and the plot features some great twists and entanglements that really challenge your ability to keep up.

Both Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe are excellent here and work their roles extremely well. Their characters are quite unsympathetic at first, but halfway through the movie I found myself feeling sympathy for both of them, which is honestly impressive.

There are subtle special effects throughout most of the film, until the finale where everything breaks, shatters, or blows up. It is all well done and works nicely for the story, in my opinion.

If you enjoy a good action comedy, I would recommend spending an evening on this. There is brief nudity at the beginning, nothing too explicit, and a few violent scenes with blood, gunshots, and broken bones. Still, it is something you could watch with a youngster who is not too squeamish. My rating lands at a solid seven out of ten.
