Revolver started out as a decent conman action movie but slowly unraveled as the schizophrenia element took over. It sets itself up as an elaborate multilayered con story, only for the ending to vanish in a puff of smoke.

Jason Statham does fine as the hard-case trickster gangster, playing the type well. Ray Liotta fits perfectly as the sleazy boss, and Mark Strong is spot-on as the slightly kooky yet highly efficient hitman.

The shooting and fighting are decent, though the way schizophrenia is portrayed comes across as more annoying than effective, at least to me.

If you’re looking for a pure action movie, you’ll be let down since there isn’t really enough of it. If you’re after drama, it won’t fully deliver either. But if you’re open to a mix of both, it might land just slightly above average entertainment.
