The Theory of Everything is a beautiful and moving film that truly touched me. Watching the physical decline of the brilliant Stephen Hawking unfold on screen is both heartbreaking and inspiring. The story focuses more on the personal and emotional journey of Hawking and his wife Jane, rather than the science itself—which, as a bit of a nerd, left me wishing for just a little more scientific depth. Eddie Redmayne delivers an absolutely stunning performance as Stephen Hawking. The way he embodies the physical transformation with such precision and emotion is nothing short of extraordinary. It’s no surprise he won the Oscar for Best Actor. Felicity Jones also shines as Jane Hawking, portraying her with such warmth and strength that you can’t help but feel deeply for her. Though mostly a romantic drama, there are a few lighthearted moments sprinkled throughout. One of my favorites was Jane’s clever remark after Stephen got his first text-to-speech device—it genuinely made me laugh out loud. If you're interested in Stephen Hawking’s personal story or just enjoy a well-crafted docudrama, this movie is definitely worth your time. |
