Now I'm a Lovecraft fan so I had to see this movie, and I have to say that this is one of the best Lovecraft movies I have seen, but unfortunately the bar is not that high.

The movie starts out with an introduction to the main family, dysfunctional and flat as you expect and with Mr. Cage as the family father you know things can get weird.
After a meteor strikes their backyard things slowly start tumbling down the rabbit hole, and become weirder and weirder.

The movie is beautiful filmed, has an awesome use of color, and the effects are used quite well.

If you like the Lovecraft genre I would say it is a must see, if not it depends on how you feel about movies that may not make sense.
