Very different from the other Marvel movies. This was more storytelling than hard hitting action. I liked it, but it also seemed a bit too much like the primary purpose was to introduce Captain Marvel so she could appear in Avengers Endgame.
The acting was good and Brie Larson was a good choice for her role as Captain Marvel in my opinion. Samuel L Jackson is a strong actor as ever.
One thing that stood out as the worst thing in my opinion was the whole set up around the cat. I will try to avoid spoilers here, but without saying too much, I think they should have turned that level of silliness down a couple of nudges.
All in all a decent Marvel movie that is not all about violence, explosions and epic battles.

Let me start by saying that I consider my self a big enthusiast of Marvel movies, who has barely read a handful of comics in his life though.
However, without knowing the story behind Captain Marvel from beforehand I was captivated. To get things right, the movie was kind of mediocre until the middle of the story. Mainly due to tons of info that causes confusion to the people who are trying to connect the dots (talking about "infidels" such as myself who have not read much of the comic series).
When the story gets down to Earth - literally and metaphorically - then you just can't get your eyes off of the screen. Big thumbs up for the effects and graphics.
Go and watch it and... don't be too fast to switch the ending titles off too soon! ;-)
