Good secret/double agent movie.
It does not really have enough action to be an action movie, not enough scary stuff to be a thriller and actually hardly enough drama to be a categorized as a drama.

Spoiler alert! I had my suspicion regarding Alexander Pearce all along, but the twist was still pretty well done and I think a lot of people will still be surprised once the truth is sprung on them.
Steven Berkoff playing Reginald Shaw is Victor Maitland from Beverly Hills Cop. This was an iconic movie for me, and he was an iconic character and really well played bad guy, so I had bit of a hard time letting that go. Maybe because I haven’t seen (any/a lot of) movies from him since..?
It is nice to see Johnny Depp in a (slightly?) different role than what we are used to. He is a good actor, and even though I do enjoy him playing a distracted drunk, Capt. Jack Sparrow in particular, I still like to see him doing something a bit different.
Angelina Jolie is perfect for her role in this movie, although, in my opinion, it seemed like that the writing was not kind to her character and was lacking a bit more room for being anything else than stunningly beautiful and “ravenous”.
Paul Bettany is good as always, although he is playing a rather unsatisfying role here.

In general at good spy movie with a good cast that makes it worth spending the time watching it.
