Impressive acting masterpiece by Christian Bale.

This is really a good movie in my opinion. The drama is good, the acting is good, the story is good, and even the boxing matches are good. I like how you are taken through the story by the eyes of the film crew making a movie “about Dickey’s comeback”.

I was really impressed by the performance by Christian Bale. He is really convincing (and slightly annoying) in his character, and I truly understand why he won an Oscar for it.
Wahlberg also did a pretty good job playing the silent by strong type.

At the end of the movie you see a small scene with the actual athletes, which the movie is based on, and it is great fun to see how they have captured their personality - Dicky Eklund/Christian Bale in particular.

If you like boxing, fighting movies and/or Christian Bale, this is absolutely a movie for your.
