Interesting concept!

I did not know what to expect when I started watching this movie, but as the story went along I got more and more hooked and found myself quite excited about seeing what would happen next. It is really well written and as far as I understand the is the first movie actually written by the director Spike Jonze. I definitely see why it was nominated for an Oscar for best movie.

Ever since Gladiator I have had a very hard time seeing Joaquin Phoenix in any movie, but time after time he keeps impressing me and this movie is no exception. This movie is highly (almost completely) carried by his role and he does a brilliant job. Very well done!
The voice for Samantha is delivered by Scarlett Johansson, and no one could do it better.  Her affectionate and cuddly accent combined with a slight hoarseness that makes it extremely sexy is just perfect.

In general this is a very interesting concept - man loves machine; machine acting almost human etc. This is really taken directly out of a sci-fi novel, and I actually had to check to see if it were in fact based on a book. It is not, but I hope authors will take up the pen on this one, as this is one of my favorite sci-fi subjects. Brilliant stuff!

Watch this if you love conceptual sci-fi. Watch it if you love brilliant acting. In general I just think you should watch this movie. I think it is very much worth the time.
