Another Taken movie? But who gets taken now? Everyone?? Well the story is plausible and reminds you not to mess with eastern european mafias unless you are very tough and thorough.
Not as good as the first one but still a high powered and fully fueled blast of action. This is good stuff and though my (unreasonably high) expectations were not met in full, I still enjoyed this movie quite a lot. The plot is a bit more on rails than the first one, and it does not have as good a range of twists.
The acting is fairly standard and though Liam Neeson recently turned 61 he is still able to hand out a good round of beating for everyone on the wrong side. At one point where Neesons character Mills is talking to his former CIA buddies at a barbecue, the cutting and/or the dialogue was very poorly executed. The lines was sort of staccato and it all just seemed unnatural. I think there was another similar scene where Mills is talking to his daughter, but I cannot place it in the movie. I might be getting old, but isn’t Maggie Grace just a bit too young to be running around in bikini and a shit most of the movie?
The action is great though there is a bit less in this one than the first one, and the hand to hand fight scene are particularly great.
In general a good action movie. If you like action, watch it. If you like Liam Neeson, watch and like it. If you like the first Taken movie, this is a must see.
