Not a very good or even memorable Marvel movie.

First off - I have not read the comic books about Ghost Rider, so I might be a bit off in my judgement.

The story seems to have potential for a standard super hero movie. Nothing fancy, but not bad either. For some reason it never gets a hold of you, and when it is time for the end, it just seems too easy and cut off too quick. That results in a flat out disappointment.

I think the below average plot combined with mediocre acting is what kills the joy for me. Nicolas Cages has the personality for this part, but for some reason he seems restrained and does not pull it off. Eva Mendes is incredibly hot. Sam Elliott is brilliant.

The effects are impressive but still a bit rugged, and maybe a bit over the top at certain points.

If you are a Marvel fan, I guess you have to watch this one as well, but if you have several other Marvel movies to choose from, I would watch one of the others.
