I gave Transformers, the first, a solid 8 of 10, and said oit was based purely on action, effects and sounds. In that respect I should have given this movie the same, cause effect-wise this actually tops the first a bit... But I decided that a difference in score would be in place since: THEY REALLY FUCKED UP THE STORY/CHARACTERS/ACTING IN THIS ONE Why not keep to the same style as the first? NONONO, they had to go and be like: "OK it's a sequel let's try to come with even more stupid stuff and blow to epic proportions and see if it works" I did not work... Here's some examples of the stupid stuff: 1: The first movie features a cute/funny dog, the sequel has of course two dogs, that even mates in one the scenes, cause that is FUN... yeah gee! 2. The robots now have even more random personalities, there's an old robot with a cane, there's two robots who are twins and talks like black gangster rappers and there's an insanely hot signal/sound expert nerd, who helps saves the day buy saying pure crappy things. 3. Last but not least, there's a giant fucking robot with huge metal testicles. I could problably add to this list but I think these things says it. Any way. Good action. Good sound effects and CRAZY CGI fighting scenes. But again all the filling story carrying scenes just makes the 2.5 hours a bit of a drag. |

Good sci-fi movie based on toys and cartoons from when I was a kid. I like the first movie better, but this second in line is not bad either. It has a wide range of great action scenes where robots fight robots and humans fight robots. the effects are extreme and the CGI is impressive. What I really do not like about this movie is the lame humor that is applied from time to time and the fact that is at certain points reminds me of just another teen movie. The first movie had the same problem, but this one is just a few notches worse. If you enjoy watching action and sci-fi this is definitely a recommendable movie. |
