Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Eddie Redmayne is a good actor and he is a perfect fit for his character Newt Scamander. I cannot imagine anyone else playing this part, which usually is a good indicator that the casting was done correct. Jude Law is a brilliant actor in general and does a good job posting Dumbledore. Mads Mikkelsen was casted as a replacement for Johnny Depp for playing Grindelwald. This was during the farce of the case between Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard. Fortunately Mikkelsen did a great job in the role, and in my opinion he is always a good choice when casting an actor for the bad guy.

This movie features a great deal less fantastic beasts than the previous two, which is a shame in my opinion. I really enjoyed the magnificent creatures and I think they should be a major part of the movie.

You need to watch the two first movies in the trilogy to appreciate all the details in this one, but if you have seen those two already this one should be mandatory.
