This movie has a few good moments, but it never really caught my interest. The flaw is in the writing I think. The cast did a good job, but a story where the main characters are constantly behind is just not that interesting.
It is sort of a comedy, but did have it's dark sides as well, which makes it somewhere in between both genres. Again a source for confusion more than entertainment.

I am a big fan of John Malkovich and I think he does a good job here. I dislike his character, but that is often the case with the parts played by him.
Vince Vaughn's character is pretty entertaining. I particularly enjoyed him being the retired salesman of old junk. He really handled this would be gangsters well.
The two lead actors, Liam Hemsworth and Clark Duke, did a decent job but never became anything interesting. Bad writing again? Maybe.

I am unsure how to recommend this movie and whom to recommend it for. Just like it's main characters, it is a wannabe gangster comedy movie. If you are into awkward movies, this almost hits the spot, but still not quite.
