I never liked cute christmas movies and they tend to be a bad joke about christmas. They are the sugar bombs of cinema and they are just to much!

One movie that really is worth seeing the stop motion classic The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) and it is always a stunning visual feast to behold. Tim Burton is the brain-child behind the movie´s great story and look but not of the direction. That was done by animation genius Henry Selick who later directed Jimmy and The Giant Peach (1996) and Coraline (2009).

The puppets themselves are fantastical to look at and the music and songs by Danny Elfman are still great to listen to. The art direction is pure Tim Burton-magic with it´s unique style.

So if you haven't see this masterpiece before, then do it!
