Fantastic Marvel movie! An amazing and absolutely fitting end to the long story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). To avoid spoilers I will not go into details about the actual movie, and just comment on it on an overall level. I was a bit concerned that the movie was approx. 3 hours long, but it started you were glue to the seat until the very end. It maybe felt like a long movie to watch, but the fact that it was 3 hours long you did not feel. Also, I do not frk like there are that many scenes that could be removed to make it shorter. They really have a lot of strings and loose ends, that had to be tied up. If anything, maybe the could have been a bit more aggressive in the cutting of the scenes as maybe some of them were dragged out just a bit too long. However, that gave you the much needed time to digest what you have just seen, so further cutting might introduce more problems than it solves. I have heard from several people that they cried during the movie. I did not, but I do see how you can get emotional at several places, as you have been building up sort of a relationship to the characters through numerous movies. Amazing! Great acting from a very talented crew of high profile actors. Obviously Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. are the two with the most screen time, and they are both very good. Some people argue that RDJ should get an Oscar for his performance. I am not sure about that, but he is pretty amazing. The effects are very good as well, and obviously very exaggerated. However, compared to the first part, Infinity War, this movie contained far more plot and drama per minute and less hardcore effects and action. It worked very well. If you have watched the earlier MCU movies, you have to watch this one. However, it would not work well as a stand alone movie. So if you are new to the MCU, you have a lot of (amazing) movies to watch, before you can enjoy this one. |
