Black Hawk Down

This movie tell the dramatized story of a Black Hawk HELO being downed in Mogadishu in October 1993 during an US operation to catch Omar Salad Elmi and Abdi Hassan Awale Qeybdiid, two of the criminal warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid's officers/advisors.

Somehow the forces of Aidid are prepared, and manage to RPG down one of the inserted HELOS, activating a chain of misfortune, which culminate in a headless rampage-rescue of soldier buddies.

"Leave no one behind!"

Like Jarhead this show a lot of the aspects of being inserted in a foreign country and gives a very realistic picture of how soldiers operate, how they adapt to the situation and the constantly shifting situation.

The scenes are forceful! You feel the blast from grenades and the dirt hit your face, the desperation of the soldiers on the ground and their commanders. It is so intensely and realistic made, that I bet it will give everyone a heartbeat.

This is a must see! At least to understand the situation in Mohgadishu, the difficult environment to operate in and the desperation of fighting to save your comrades and survive.

Everything loolks god, and the cast is awesome! I am especially happy to see Ewan McGregor and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

I swear somebody was cutting onions when Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart asked to be put on ground to protect Durant! ... when you're done with the movie, read up on their story.
