The Enemy might be at the Gates, but Vasilij Zajcev is on guard and you can almost sense him quoting Gandalf - “Thou Shall Not Pass!” |

Have in mind that one of the stars given here is given because it's a sniper movie, and a good one. So basicly I'm giving the movie a 6 of 10. It pisses me off every time a American produced movie, that takes place some where outside of the US has to have everybody speaking english. Ok ok they make them speak english with a terrible accent, but that doesn't help much does it? The movie seems to give some historical insight in the battle for Stalingrad in 1942/43, but the producers has chosen to fill it with kliché plot elements, which might be true, but as I see it is NOT important to the core plot. As mentioned above it is a good sniper movie, and I can appreciate that a whole lot, but not all the way. |
