A fascinating Danish documentary called "Rejsen til Nurunien” in Danish about one man's life work and unwavering dedication to a world set in the universe of Dungeons and Dragons. It showcases only a tiny fraction of the enormous collection of books, maps, illustrations and other material that Jens-Rune Gissel has created over a period of forty years. At the same time, it follows his struggle to find a proper venue in Aarhus where he can exhibit his creations in a way that he feels truly justifies the countless hours and years he has invested. I found it deeply fascinating to see the sheer scale of the project and to imagine the incredible amount of time, passion and creativity that has gone into producing such high quality amateur roleplaying material. Even if you only get a glimpse of his work, it is enough to leave a lasting impression. If you are in any way familiar with traditional tabletop pen and paper roleplaying games, this documentary is absolutely worth watching. I would rate it seven out of ten.
