A simple story with an enormously complex plot, very classic Tarantino. It is both well written and well executed, and I found it great to follow. The trickery and double crossing are quite complicated since multiple parts are involved, and you are not given the full picture until the end. That works out fantastic and keeps the tension alive throughout.

The movie features a high end list of great actors. In my opinion the best performance comes from Robert Forster, even though he is only in a supporting role. Samuel L. Jackson, Robert De Niro and Pam Grier all deliver strong performances as well and really bring their characters to life.

For a Tarantino movie there is very little shooting and almost no blood at all. This is mainly a drama, and the fact that he keeps the violence at a relatively low level shows that he knows exactly what he is doing.

If you are a Tarantino fan, this is a must see. It also works very well as an action drama with a touch of comedy, so if that is your thing, this will most likely be something for you. I would rate it seven out of ten.
