Good action, but not entirely as much charm as I am expecting from a Mission Impossible film. It feels like everything has gone into the action, the car chases and the train wreck instead. The spectacle is big and loud, but some of the classic spy finesse seems to be pushed aside.
My favorite part is the chemistry between the three team members. Tom Cruise is without a doubt the right Ethan Hunt, but they are all getting older, and maybe the focus should shift further to charm instead of further to action. That balance is not quite there this time.

The idea of a self aware sentient entity taking over the world is interesting. The movie has one take on it, and like most good sci fi it is hard to disprove nor fully accept. It works well enough as a driving force for the plot.

This is good entertainment if you like constant action, explosions and violent fights. If you are looking for a good spy movie, you might actually get disappointed. If you just want to complete the Mission Impossible saga, this is obviously a must see. I would rate it seven out of ten.
