A very simple action movie built around a classic amnesia story, where the plot thickens as the main character slowly gets his memory back. There is nothing new here and nothing fantastic, but it is just good enough to be acceptable. Josh Duhamel is a good fit as an action Ken doll. Abbie Cornish felt too weak in my opinion and not convincing enough in the action sequences. Nick Nolte is really getting old, maybe too old to be believable in this role. There is lots of fighting and shooting in relatively confined spaces, and it is executed pretty well overall. If you are looking for a simple action movie to kill some time, this is not a bad choice. For me it lands at around a six out of ten. |
