A classic revenge tale at its core, Ballerina follows the familiar story of a child witnessing her parents’ murder and later returning for vengeance. There are no real surprises here—you simply sit back and enjoy the long, intense journey to the final showdown. And what a thrill it is! The movie even ends with a clear setup for a sequel, which I’m already looking forward to.

Ana de Armas proves once again that she’s great in action roles, even though she’s quite small in stature—something that would normally be a major disadvantage. Fortunately, the film addresses this directly, showing her learning to “fight like a girl,” and it actually works really well. She’s a strong choice for the role of Ballerina. Keanu Reeves delivers another classic John Wick–style performance, and Norman Reedus, though only appearing briefly, was a pleasant surprise to see.

The movie is packed with fights, gunfire, and explosions—every encounter leaves behind a blood stain, smear, or splatter. Physics, statistics, and most forms of common sense are tossed right out the window in favor of even more action, but honestly, that’s part of the fun.

If you enjoy the John Wick movies or that universe in general, this is a must-see. It’s not quite on the same level as the main series, in my opinion, but it’s definitely worthy of being part of the franchise—full of good action and solid entertainment.
