Heart of the Hunter is a low-end B action movie. While the story is somewhat believable, the poor execution of the plot really kills the flow of what should have been a straightforward film. The acting is about average for this type of movie, with not much for the actors to work with. If anyone stood out, it was Boleng Mogotsi—the kid did a pretty solid job for his age. The stunts range from decent to mediocre, and while there are a few good fight scenes, most of them fail to impress. If you’re specifically into movies set in South Africa, this might be worth a watch. But if you’re just looking for an action flick about a retired hitman, there are far better options. Also, the title makes no sense—they call the main character a warrior, but never a hunter. |
